With this exhibition, the RMCA aims to contribute
to the highly topical debate concerning the colonial
history of Congo and Belgium.
Visitors learn more about this controversial period
through little-known objects, works of art, documents,
films, and photographs. Filmed interviews
with Belgians and Congolese give a voice to
the past in a lively confrontation with memories
and emotions.

Memory of Congo, through specific themes and
diverse narratives, revisits this turbulent chapter
in history.
